Thirteen Eurowings Airbuses will arrive at the JOB AIR Technic hangar for maintenance during the winter season 2023/2024. At the MRO Europe event in Amsterdam, this agreement was signed by representatives of Job Air Technic and Eurowings Technik, member of Lufthansa Group. The part of the contract is also winter season 2024/2025 where we will see more Eurowings aircraft in Job Air Technic hangars.
JOB AIR Technic has signed a significant maintenance contract with Eurowings Technik, a member of the Lufthansa Group. This contract will see 13 Eurowings Airbuses arriving at JOB AIR Technic hangars for maintenance during the winter seasons of 2023/2024 and 2024/2025.
This partnership marks the first major collaboration between JOB AIR Technic and the Lufthansa Group, particularly Eurowings. The CEO of JOB AIR Technic, Vladimír Stulančák, emphasized this as a recognition of their high-quality services and highlighted their status as an approved Airbus service provider since 2021.
The 25th anniversary of MRO Europe took place in Amsterdam from 17 to 19 October and JOB AIR Technic was among more than 450 exhibitors that attracted thousands of aviation professionals. The event also included a conference with 30 expert speakers. This important event takes place every year in one of the three host cities. Next year it will take place in Barcelona, in 2025 in London.
“It is great that we were able to sign this important contract in Amsterdam. This is our first such significant collaboration with Eurowings and the Lufthansa Group. We see the fact that such a strong group has chosen us as a partner for the maintenance of their aircraft as another recognition of the quality of our services. It certainly helped that we are an approved Airbus service provider from 2021. By the way, we also finalized this contract at the MRO in Amsterdam,” says Vladimír Stulančák, CEO of JOB AIR Technic.
More than a hundred aircraft undergo maintenance at JOB AIR Technic’s aircraft repair shops every year, and in two hangars, aircraft mechanics can work simultaneously on eight narrow-body Airbus A 320 Family or Boeing 737 aircraft. A total of 13 machines of the Lufthansa group that JOB AIR Technic will receive for maintenance in the coming months, so it represents a significant contract for Job Air Technic.
About JOB AIR Technic
The JOB AIR Technic aircraft maintenance organization located at the Leoš Janáček Airport in Mošnov was founded in 1993. In 2008, it built a new maintenance hangar and received a license to maintain Boeing 737 aircraft, and three years later, a license for Airbus A320 aircraft. In 2017, it also received authorization to maintain Airbus A330 aircraft. The company specializes in so-called heavy maintenance, often associated with a change of aircraft operator or its return from the leasing company lessor. In 2016, JOB AIR Technic became part of the Czechoslovak Group holding, which is owned by Czech businessman Michal Strnad. In 2019, the second maintenance hangar with workshop, storage and administrative facilities was completed.
